Introduction:

 

We have watched the movie ‘catch me if you can’ in class. We had to do this for a a assignment. First we watched two other movies: ‘ Angels and Demons’ and ‘ The King’s Speech ‘,  but they were removed from Netflix, so we had to find another movie, and that was this one.

 

About the movie: 

 

It’s about a 17 year old boy; Frank Abagnale jr. When his parents got divorced, he was very confused en scared, so he left town and began with a lot of money fraud. His first ‘fake’ job was a teacher, he also became a pilot, doctor and lawyer. 

 

Frank Abagnale jr always changed his name because the FBI was after him. And because he always changed it he had to change countries very often. 

That's why it was so hard for the FBI to catch him. 

 

His life was basically perfect, he was rich, without doing anything. 

 

Do you want to know if his life stays perfect without doing anything ( and how he does that )  and do you want to know if the FBI finally catches him?! Go watch ‘Catch me if you can’. 

 

 

More about the characters: 

 

The main character is Frank Abagnale jr, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is a very smart kid. He was only 17 years old when he was ‘the money fraud genius’. 

 

The FBI agent Carl Hanratty, played by Tom Hanks, was the man who was chasing Frank Abagnale jr. He has a weird relationship with Frank, the where not friends but also not the normal FBI agent and criminal relationship.

Costumes: 

 

The movie is situated in the 60s, so the costumes where old fashioned. The FBI agent always had his hat on and een suit. 

 

Frank Abagnale jr had a lot of costumes because he always changed his job, when he was a pilot a wears a pilot suit, but when he was a doctor a wears a doctors jacket. When he became rich you saw his clothing style changed, he was wearing expensive suits and blouses. 

 

Special effects?

 

There were no special effects. 

 

The music was perfect for certain pieces because when something happend with the FBI agent it was sort off exciting music.

 

 

Opinion:

 

At first I thought it would be a action movie, so I thought this is not for me. 

But when the movie started I did like it, because it was funny and realistic but in the same time unrealistic. Unrealistic because I never thought someone could do something like this. And when I heard it was a true story I couldn’t believe it. 

 

We also watched the movie ‘ Angels and Demons’, but he was removed from Netflix, so we couldn’t finish it.
